WLLX-FM/WWLX-AM proudly serves the communities of Southern Middle Tennessee and North Alabama with the region’s most vast radio network.
Launched in 1981 by Prospect Communications, WLX has made community service a top priority. In the late 1980’s the station purchased and installed a color weather radar and transmitted it’s data, via a subcarrier signal, to area residents’ personal computers. The effort earned WLX a nomination for the coveted Radio Crystal Award.
From our studios in Lawrenceburg and our primary broadcast facilities in Northern Giles County, WLX reaches nearly 3.5 million potential listeners on FM 97.5. Our signal doesn’t stop there. WLX’s flagship Country network, Power 97, is also transmitted on FM 100.1 in Lawrenceburg, FM 100.7 in Columbia, FM 93.1 in Loretto, FM 98.7 in Mount Pleasant, and FM 100.5 in Lewisburg.
In 2008 we launched a Classic Rock music network on FM 105.3 in Lawrenceburg, FM 100.9 in Pulaski, FM 103.7 in Lynnville, and across the region on AM 590. “105.3 The X” offers listeners with a select variety of the rock/pop hits from the 1960’s through the early 2000’s.
Our commitment to provide the area with the best music, all local personalities, and accurate local news and weather information continues to remain our highest priority.
